General questions

Do you service/repair windows and doors?

At this time, we are only able to service and repair product that we have installed.

Will a permit be required for my project? If so, what is the cost?

Yes, a permit will be required for your project. While permit costs vary by city and size of the project, an estimated total is around 2-3% of the contracted total.

Up to what wind speed do your windows protect?

South Florida is rated a high-velocity wind zone area. Our products are tested and rated applicably.

What is your average lead time?

The average lead time from the time product is ordered to the time of install is typically 10-12 weeks. This time frame does not account for additional time needed to obtain permit from the city and/or to obtain HOA approval. Keep in mind that lead times may be extended during the hurricane season.

How long does it take for my windows and doors to be installed?

Installation times vary based on the size and the complexity of the project. On average, 6 windows and 1 sliding glass door can be installed within a day. A more exact time frame can be determined once we have measured and estimated your project.

What kind of warranty do you offer?

All of our products come with a manufacturer’s warranty. Furthermore, we guarantee labor for one year and paint for ten years. Regardless, if you have any concerns, just give us a call.

How do I prepare for the installation day?

To ensure a smooth installation day, we recommend clearing the area around your windows or doors, removing any fragile items, and providing our team with access to the installation site. Our team will communicate any additional preparations needed before the installation date.

Will my impact-resistant glass break?

Impact-resistant glass can break but will not shatter outside of the frame. By remaining in the frame, water and debris cannot enter the home and cause further damage.

Why does water get into the track of my windows/sliding glass door during a rain storm?

It is normal for water to be present in the track of a sliding glass door or windows during a storm, especially if it is a windy storm. Our products are designed to capture water in the track and drain it to the exterior of the building through weep holes located in the bottom the frame. By keeping these weep holes free of dirt and debris, the water will flow out freely and not build up in the track.

Will I get an insurance discount by installing impact-resistant windows/doors?

Many insurance companies offer discounts on the installation of approved impact products. Contact your insurance company to see what discounts they can apply upon completion of your project.
